Sparc 2 vs holosun

So my TRS-25 Dot is coming on and off when shooting and I think it's time to get a new red dot . Wondering which would be a better buy for a T97 . Looking at the holosun hs403a and the vortex sparc 2 . Little hesitant on the holosun but it sure is reasonably priced . Any thoughts ?
 
Have you tried changing the batteries on the Bushnell? I had the same problem with mine and changing the battery did it.
The Vortex has a better track record vs the Holosun. TVPresspass did a review on the Holosun here about a year ago amd he was not too impressed with it. I don't recall which model he tested though.
 
I've had this issue for a while put a new battery in and it didn't help . I may try anther battery but I think it's screwed . I bought it of the EE so no warranty .
 
My trs-25 just sh** the bed too. I am in the same boat on which on to get.
Mine was doing the samething took it apart and found one of metal tabs were broken.

Haven't had a problem with my sparc 2, the dot is not the clearest though. Vortex also came out with the sparc AR, never handled one but might be worth checking out
 
Have the original SPARC and it had to go back for warranty. The dot is poor in that it is not round but rather star shaped. The SPARC is now a back-up sight for me. I have a number of Holosuns and really like them.
 
I have 2 of each, they all take a true beating, every day. Holosun for battery life. Sparc has tougher mounting system. I am not scared of using either.
 
Just FYI new white label TRS-25's have the emitter at 6'oclock instead of 4'oclock like the gold labelled ones that earned the TRS it's stellar reputation. A 6'oclock emitter means that the dot will disappear in the top third of the glass and can be very ****ing annoying. No one knows why they changed this as the old TRS-25 was a amazing. For 100$ I wouldn't complain but at 150$ Or higher I would be looking past the TRS to the Holosun. I can't say whether the durability of the TRS has been diminished but the functionality sure has.
 
From what the pictures show on Bushnells site, Amazon and a YouTube vid of them side by side, it appears that the AR model with the riser has the white lettering and others have the gold. I hope this is the case for the one i ordered, i took a screen shot of the one i ordered with the gold letters so if i get the white lettered one and it is junk they can take it back. Lol.

They all have the white lettering now, whether they come with the AR riser or not
