CG triggers are all now made by X-Treme Shooting products, USA. If you prefer 2-stage, as do many top professional and target shooters, this is the way to go.
CG triggers are excellent. They are a 2-stage trigger similar to the Anschutz 5018 trigger and Walther and Feinwerkbau match triggers. There are the 21 &22 models. The 21 is modular and was made with adaptors for various action brands - chosen at time of ordering.
The CG22 is solely for Remington and actions that can receive a Rem. style trigger mounting system.
Check Xtreme Shooting Products website.
Ian Robertson-Robertson Composites and Peter Dobson-Hirsch Precision can get these in Canada.
If you are accustomed to a 2-stage trigger you will like it. The most important thing is follow the setup instructions explicitly. Regards d
PS Peter you typed a touch faster than I - all the best!
I have a CG trigger made by HHE on my Millennium action. Have a few problems when I tried to lighten it down to 1kg but changed it back to 3.5 lbs for Bisley and just left it set there.
The 2 stage trigger breaks very cleanly and mine has the round knurled straight trigger shoe. My trigger adjust forward and back on a dovetail not the round bar that is on the new X-treme triggers.
The new CG21 &22 have an optional spring included to change the weight range higher or lower as needed. The lighter spring, if the trigger is adjusted correctly, yields about a 5oz 1st stage and a 12oz release. Much lighter than this the sear will not engage consistently and will be unsafe. There also needs to be enough spring tension to have the sears reset if the shot attempt is aborted.
