Special ordering browning firearms

Anyone ever special order from SIR,Wholesale Sports,or preferabley any other gun stores in Manitoba.I am kind of looking for a Browning micro-hunter left hand in 7mm-08.I e-mailed SIR a month ago to ask if they could order the rifle for me,but they never did reply back to me.I guess they don't want or need the business.Also what do you think of the rifle choice?
 
I bought a lefty A bolt micro hunter in 325wsm.Its a sweet little rig,shoots under 3/4 inch groups. The trigger adj. down nice,and i like the short bolt lift and the tang safty.i would like to get another in 257 roberts or maybe 225wssm,wich would be a special order also.sometimes being lefthanded sucks.

Excellent choice. I have the Micro Hunter in 22 Hornet, it's VERY accurate. Quick handling, light and good looking.

What did your rifle cost if you don't mind me asking?So I have a ballpark figure when I order mine.I'm thinking $700-$800.
 
Browning, like most US gun Manufacturers thinks Canada is a third world Country. And they are correct when it comes to the gun market. Be prepared to wait for a Browning firearm that is not in stock in Montreal.
 
I just bought a browning microhunter 7-08 in lefty from Bartons in Grande Prarie AB. They had 3 i think and some 243s. I paid $700 for mine. Since lefthanded guns dont move very fast it might be worth calling them, im sure they will ship it to you. Here is the contact info

By the way i love my gun, doesnt weigh much more than my 30-30 and doesnt kick much more either. Plus i got my pick of the stocks :)

My father is getting a Micro hunter in 7-08 or 308. Ellwood epps said they would get one for him at an excellent price but it would take a while.

There is a local (NB) supplier who has some in stock. I don't like the guy personally but the price was decent.

Thats the same as a lot of Arms Companies. Kimber is the same way.
 
i know wholesale brought one in for a friend of mine , it took a`couple of months from the \time he placed the order, it really depends if they have tem in stock in montreal

That is my experience with Browning Montreal. I waited for over 24 month to get my ShortTrac 308. Bigredd finally found one for me.

If the rifle is in Canada it should take a couple of weeks. If not it could take many, many months. If it's not in the country you'd be better to find what you wanted in the U.S. and have them import it for you.
 
Took almost a year for the "special order" Browning pistol I got for my wife, so ya, expect a loooong wait if it's not in stock in Canada.
 
I have had good service in "special ordering" from Wolverine Supplies of Virden, MB. (About one week on an order for a Winchester Model 70 .243WSSM last spring.Phone (204) 748-2454

Also, have you tried MacDonald Sporting Goods in Portage La Prairie? They are a Browning Dealer.
