Special rules for prohib hand guns made prior to 1946?

I was reading the PAL application last night and noticed the following:

"If you are applying for a licence to acquire a prohibited handgun manufactured before 1946, please call 1-800-731-4000 for further information."

So does that mean they are still issuing 12(6) licences if all we are acquiring are historic handguns?

Only applies to pre-'46 handguns being inherited from immediate family members.

No. Like tiriaq says, it only applies to inherited firearms and it does not allow you to acquire more. Read the law.

Not with the license...but with an ATT...yes.
