We're gauging interest in doing some arca rails for our 10/22 chassis. The rail would attach to the m-lok slots on the bottom and is contoured to our handguard. It will feel like an integral part. No firm pricing right now, but it should be around $50 to $60. If you want this reply to this thread, or better yet buy a chassis! Existing chassis owners will get first dibs.

Good majority of us push the Arca Rails just passed the end of the hand guard .
Ie. 12” Arca on a 10.5” handguard. Pushes that bipod nice and forward.

Good news, we have decided to move forward with the ARCA rail project. We've prototyped the rail and it works great. The rail is 3 slots long. With 2 rails you can have full length arca when using our handguard extension. This rail is designed to fit only our chassis.

The final rail will be black anodized. Estimated price is $59.99 per segment.

Here's some pics:

Please make a revision and make one available slightly longer to extend slightly past the forend. This product does nothing Area 419, MDT or the Sunway Company on Amazon already has for sale. One may want to buy this product just to have the full SBI product head to toe but if it doesn’t extend past the forend a real opportunity was missed to meet the standard. My apologies for sounding crude but this is how most folks want their Arca Rails.

Can the ARCA rail just be made integral with the handguard? Instead of having 4 pieces (handguard + extension + 2 ARCA rails) just have one longer handguard with ARCA built in? Maybe sell the chassis and handguards separate?

That is truly the best idea right there. A purpose built ARCA handguard.

And don't forget to add some QD sockets. I'd recommend 5 of them. 2 on each side as far forward and rearward as possible. And one on the bottom as far forward as possible, so those of us who like to do traditional sling shooting, or instruct at Mapleseed events have a proper place for a front sling QD.

The handguard isn't thick enough for qd slots to be machined in. However, there's 12 to 15 m-lok slots where qd mounts can be attached.

No, it can't be made that way. A longer handguard is significantly more expensive to make. The system we have now is modular and customizable which we feel is best since everyone wants something different.

And the Arca rail won't be thick enough for an underside QD without hitting the handguard above it, unless maybe it was in the toe of the rail ahead of the handguard, but then bending the rail becomes an issue.

Wondering if an Arca clamp with a QD socket would be a useful gizmo to throw a sling on a railed rifle without having to do an m-lok changeover.

That is exactly what I do on another companies chassis that is ARCA. Area 419 ARCA clamp with their Picatinnny rail adapter. The Area 419 pic rail has a QD socket.
