Spectre DR..any update on the zero problems?

I know there were some reviews a while back that the Spectre would lose zero after switching back and forth from 1x to 4x a few times.... or have a different POI at the different magnifications.

Has anything changed yet, or does the sight still have this problem?

I was told a year ago the next gen would come out in Feburary this year - I was supposed to have my order in but I heard absolutely nothing -zip nothing . I guess they must be still fixing the issues with the site or there is no further funding from the US for it. Either way.....Currently, the ones that are floating around appears to be a test batch from the previous trial period.

I like the concept, I hope they will eventually make it.

I really like the idea too... but we could be waiting forever.

....in the meantime, what's the peoples choice for targets from 0 - 300 meters? Eotech with no magnification, or Acog with 3x?

Shortdot or other 1-4X optics. I had the chance to try KevinB's Shortdot and loved it. Now, as soon as I can scrape together the cash I will definitely be getting one.

The Nightforce 1-4 and 2.5-10 NXS scopes are a decent alternative to the Shortdots, and pricing of them has been coming down.
