Hello!

I seem to be running into conflicting info on this and was wondering if you all had more insight for me before I make my decision.

First question is does the Galil stock kit for the WK/WS-MCR come with a QD mount or any sling mount? Or can I add one?

The more important part for me is the OAL (unfolded of course)

The Zhukov is adjustable of course, but in its shortest setting, is it shorter OAL than the G-Mod Galil?

It's super hard to tell on the photos - it almost looks like the Zhukov is longer even when it's not extended at all.

Has anyone tried both?

Thanks!

The Galil folder itself measure about 9 3/4". Length of pull from the trigger to the end of the stock is about 13 3/4". It is, however, easy to shorten it. You knock out 2 roll pins and then cut the "tubes" down to length.

Thanks for that info - yes, the length of pull from trigger to end of stock is what I'm after.

I'm so torn haha. I love them both for different reasons, and they both change the look of the gun so much. I just wish the Zhukov's adapted was thinner so the adapter itself didn't show much and extend it by that much. It looks a little "tacked on".

I think I might end up having to try both and I'll end up with one on each of my rifles. I like the idea of cutting the Galil stock down to suit my smaller 5' 8" frame but I'm also afraid of commitment in general... so...

I mean to me it seems like the designers didn't understand the rifle they were building the adaptor for. The zukov is mounted low because of how the akm sights line up. mounting the stock low like that on a rifle with a similar sight picture to an ar15 is the biggest complaint rifles such as the B&T apc 223 have. Nobody seems to like a chin weld. Not sure why anyone would pay extra for it.

I plan on using low-mounted optics on mine.

If I really feel like putting my Eotech on this rifle; I'll get the cheek-riser that Magpul makes for this stock.

FYI:

With the new stock I can still maintain a chin weld and see through the high mount sights.
My daughter, on the other hand, cannot and will need a cheek riser.

Cool you shoot the rifle with your daughter :) Until you can order in an official cheek riser, if you have access to a 3D-Printer search for the printable riser on Google. The maker who designed it said it wasn't sturdy for long-term use, but it may do in the meantime.

Thanks for info.

My daughter has adopted this rifle (reluctantly) since her AR has been banned.

"It's not the same" direct quote by her. :)
