Speed Loader Pouch for 10/22 and Wildcat Magazines?

So, according to the internet, I am not the first person to have this idea, but I have not yet been able to converse with anyone who has actually tried same, for good fit, brand and model, etc....

10rd 10/22 and Winchester Wildcat magazines, in a revolver speedloader pouch (Walk in the woods / at the cabin type plinking, not for any speed matches or anything, so security more important than speed).

Has anyone here tried same?

I couldn't find more than a passing mention on the search option.

It's true that they are awkward little beggars to carry - Compared to most magazines.

I'm interested to see what this thread turns up, but I expect it'll be a hard sell to convince me anything belt mounted is better than a loose pocket for this application.
 
I've got several mags for my B22 and this is a great way to keep them all in one place in my range bag. I've also got a bunch of stick mags and found a 6-pk pouch on A-zon. Sad I only bought one cause now I've got 15+ sticks.
 
PS - the 6-pk pouch was only $10 back in 2016. No longer avail for several years. Now equivalent pks are ca $50 +
 
I’ve tried it with my .357 mag speedloader pouches and it’s a little too tight. But I’m sure there is variance between manufacturers so someone else might have better luck. If I was motivated enough, I could probably stretch the leather and make it work.
 
Poouches work for Sav Rotaries too

I bought some amazon speed-loader pouches to hold my Savage rotary mags. The mags are a snug fit but I left the pouches in the sun a while TO 'soften up' then stuffed the mags in. Had to push really hard but the pouch closes with velcro and I don't think they'll fall out ! ;-O

'Pends on what you're doing . . . with one in the rifle and a couple in a pouch for a walk in the woods. Still pretty easy and quick. I wouldn't want a couple mags in my pants pocket, but in a jacket WTH--k. Maybe several pouches on a bandolier ???

I use this pouch and it works good enough provided you're not doing anything too "dynamic" in terms of movement.
 
I have a set of speedloader pouches which hold my HkS 586 loaders. They do not hold my ruger bx1 magazines. They are black leather I bought at a surplus shop over ten years ago.


I don't quite remember how I came across it but I have a small dog treat pouch that clips on my belt and holds a few 10/22 magazines quite nicely. I used it a few times for a steel challenge and it worked well.

Those Amazon pouches are only ca $10. Like I said, I 'warmed the nylon' and stuffed the S-mags in then wrapped the velcro flaps down tight.
