Hey folks, I'm wondering if there's anyone here who can give me feedback on shooting left with a Speedfeed I or III installed? It would seem to me that unless you had two shells inserted on the right side it would be uncomfortable because of how high the cavity is located?

Thanks!

I found that for me the speedfeed stocks were not compatible with LH shooting, even with rounds in they rubbed against my cheek.

Thanks for the reply Ike I appreciate it. I suspected it might not work out too well but it's good to hear from someone who has tried it before I put the $100 clams down for one!

:)

I am right handed but occasionally shoot off my left; I have a SFIII and find it a bit scratchy on the cheek (with or without shells), but not a huge problem. My buddy who is a pure lefty has a SFI and it does not bother him. Neither of us do quick reloads, so as far as using the stock for quick loading I can't say.

You could consider the SF II or IV which are the same as the I and III, but without the magazine tubes. Of course the mag tubes are the whole reason I went to Speedfeed... if you still want to hold shells on the but, other options would include a Knoxx or Mesa setup.

edit...
To save you the dissapointment I went through, its also worth mentioning that the Speedfeed magazine tubes will NOT hold two 3" shells. They will take two 2 3/4" shells, or one 3" + one 2 3/4". Someone with a little more "do it yourself" aptitude could probably modify the tubes to hold two 3" shells, but I decided it was not worth my effort

It seems like they only went 9/10ths of the way when they engineered this in order to have such obvious performance issues. A shame that. The Speedfeed IV would have been a consolation prize if it was more readily available or cheaper. I really wanted to avoid a pistol grip stock on my Persuader and wanted a shell holder that wasn't mounted on the receiver or a nylon slip-on.

Knowing ATI's somewhat mixed reputation, has anyone used one of their mountable shotshell holders?
