Speer 200 gr Spitzer for Moose?

Found some of these in the reloading pile. Just wondering if they'd be good for Moose. Not dead set on using them, just curious.

Assuming your talking 30 cal., Perfectly good for moose or anything else that walks North America

I have taken 1 moose with this bullet, and my son also shot a moose with Speer 200 gr. Hot-Cor.
Both moose DRT. I recovered one, but the other passed through the chest, and exited.
Pretty reliable bullet at speeds below 2900, IMHO. D.

Have used the 308 Speer 200 Hot Cor spitzer in the 30-06, with no surprises other than how accurate it is.

Just plain works well.

I wouldn't drive it too incredibly fast, but at sane speeds it'll work nicely.

According to the Hodgdon reloading site, with the powders that I have available, it would be doing around the 2500 fps mark.
