i have a bunch of 240 and 300 gr speer bullets for my 444. could someone please relay the load data from the speer book here for those bullets. anyone else have some good recipes built around these bullets? since we're here, any good loads for the 265 hornady?

thnx

here is a few i use
46 grn hodgedon 4198 265 grn hornady fed 215 primer very accurate in my marlin
42.5 grns hodgedon 4198 hornady 300 grn fed 215 primer
51 grn reloader 7 240 grn hornady fed 215 primer
back these loads off a couple of grns and work up
crimped with lee crimp die
you can substitute speer bullets just remember to back off load to start

Not Speer, but:

For 240's:
IMR-4198 From 32.9 grains to 48.3 grains
Remington 9-1/2 Primer

For 265's:
H-4198 From 32.6 grains to 47.1 grains
Remington 9-1/2 Primer

For 300's:
IMR-4895 From 45.7 grains to 52.5 grains
Remington 9-1/2 Primer

My favourite load for in my 444 is:

300 gr Unicor(Speer)
55 gr of H335(starting load is 53.5....MAX is 55.5)
CCI 200 Primer

If your barrel will stabalize these 300's it might make 1 inch groups at 100 yards.

I tried to scan Speer as well as some other info I have but not coming clear enough to read.

When I get a chance I will type it up and post it...

Good info on this site as well.
