Speer Gold Dot RIFLE

Has anyone tried the gold dot rifle bullets on game yet? Not much info out there...
Am thinking they may be a good deer bullet in 308/6.5 rifles...

From what I saw on the website bullets section, the heaviest I saw was 62gr’s.

Could be very well mistaken though.

Oh okay, you’re talking loaded ammunition not bullets.
I do wish we could find some of the gold dot rifle ammo up here though.

Speer's "bonded" bullets are just thick copper plated lead. Their "Deepcurl" line of rifle bullets is the same idea. They work well but can't be pushed as hard as other brands of bonded bullets.

As Hitzy said, and from what I have read. The Gold dot Rifle bullets are the same as the discontinued Deep Curl bullets. They are also the same as the Federal Fusion bullet with the difference being the Fusion bullets have a boat tail. Like the protected lead tip similar to the Remington bulk bullets.
