Speer mag tip slugs

Any one have any insight as to using these for game animals? I am looking at the 350gr 416 variety for use on elk and critters of the same size. Hows accuracy with what you are using them in? Do they hold together or fragment? Opinions needed. I have never used them but dont want to test them on a game animal and find a failure!!

Speer mag tips are very similar to the grand slams. Which are in my opinion a great bullet.

Mag tips have 45% thicker base jackets with the hot core process.

In a 416 they will be fine.

I shot a mule deer and a moose with the 350gr MagTip years ago. They're a tough bullet, weight retention will be 70% +

Accuracy was pretty good, certainly accurate enough for the intended use of big game hunting inside 300y

I have a 416 Taylor and i am shooting them in it - BUT i have not taken it Animal hunting YET - i was Hoping to get a Bison draw to try it out ! RJ
