Anyone tried the 30 cal ones ?

it looks like a copy of the Barnes varmint grenades.

125 grain bullet. looks like a decent size would be good i think. but im looking for some experianced reloaders idea's would it work well out of a 300 WM ?

Haven't shot their 30's, but have shot lots of their 6.5's and 22's.
Like them A LOT!!:dancingbanana:
I think you will find that the Barnes is a copy of the TNT!!:D

ive wanted to try the varmint grenades but they dont make anything over 6mm from what i have seen. so i might see if i can get some of these ordered in. looks like their packs only come in qty's of 500. so that will last a while lol.

I load them in .22 and .30 cal. I don't know about velocity limits on the 30 cal but I do know for sure that the .22 cal will not hold togeather after a certain velocity IE 22-250 velocities :D:D

I have had good luck with them in the 308 win over 48 to 51 grains of IMR 4350. accurate out to 500 meters. If I had my Speer manual close by I would see if they list a load for the 300 win, maybe someone with one close can chime in.

I think the 125 TnT has a recommended velocity limit of 3100-3200 f/s at the muzzle. The 130 gr HollowPoint would probably be a better bet in the 300 mags unless you were looking for a reduced load.

thanks all. il hafta see if i can find some. 500 would last me a lifetime of reloading lol. i dont get to many varmints mainly groundhogs and yotes that i need to get rid of (they are chaseing my parents horses)

The 125 grainers come in a box of 100. I am flying on memory right now but if I am right the speer part number is 2005. Should be 100 speer 125 grain tnt bullets. 3100 fps rings a bell for max velocity on the 22 cal but I am not sure if it is the same for the 30 cal. The thin jacket has a tendancy to fly apart at the muzzle with the higher velocities, even with max plus loads in the 308 I never encountered it, they all hit the target.

THE SPEER manual dose not say anything about a 125 gr TNT or anyother bullet grain in TNT I would also go with the 130 grain HP start with 73gr. of IMR4350 to a max load of 77gr. With CCI mag. primer
It also said about the 125gr TNT to never to go over 3100ft/sec. valocities
So I would stay with the HP
