90gr .270 Speer TNT's
I have worked up fairly hot handloads for my .270 using Speer 90gr TNT's. They chrono'ed at 3400 & change. I switched to 110gr VMAX's which shoot better groups (.5") in my Savage 111.
I imagine the 3500fps speed limit is to prevent the hollow point from prematurely opening before striking the target.
