It's because they just weigh the whole package before shipping it out. So you have 101 random weighted bullets that weigh what 100 should

Thanks for the offer foggy, but I'm flush with components at the moment. There must be a needy soul somewhat closer to you?
i've seen as many as 4 extra cases in a bag of 50 with bulk ammo- esp with the 'heavier" cases- seems they'ed rather be over short- which is a blessing, b/c the extra round is always needed for a dummy or drill round- gives you a round to set your dies with
