Spent $12 and got this.....

Nice paint job, it really makes a world of difference on these rifles for not feeling like as much of a toy.

I went with Olive for mine.

I feel the "mag" portion above the actual mag should be masked off so the mag look continues all the way up to the magwell, but they do look good painted, i'm afraid to paint mine since I don't know how well the paint would hold up and it would look bad as it started to get scratched.

Do it Fred!! I've done it to a couple of rifles and shotties and it turns out cool!! As well, just look at what the guys are using in the Sand Box, no perfect paintjobs there. Scratched, worn, just means its been used, as all firearms should be!! :)
Cheers!!

1 can of paint and a spray can applicator trigger. Let sit for 1hr before reassembling! Will let set over night!!!!!

Love my 715 Flat top that much more now!

great job - the olive looks awesome also

what did you mean by "applicator trigger" lol

and did you use that Krylon Camo stuff i've read about in the past?

The application trigger goes over the top of the spray can. You pull on the trigger and it activates the nozzle instead of having your finger right on the nozzle. I did use the Camo Kyrlon..... I let it set for about 45mins before I re-asssembled, it dries pretty quick.

Exact paint I used, 3 coats and gave it 15 mins to bake in the sun between coats then let it finally dry for approx same time.

Came out great and even the paint on my buffer tube is holding up well.
