Spent some time with the XCR (three questions)

After a couple hundred rounds through my XCR I have three questions.

1)Is there any trigger options out there? I can't stand the trigger (I believe I have the enhanced) It is very inconsistent. To be fair to the rifle I have never liked two stage triggers. I read on xcrforum that they offered a single stage trigger at 3.5lbs but Wolverine informs me that was discontinued. Do I have other options

2)The stock is fine but for the type of shooting Iam doing I would like a better cheek weld and a longer LOP. I plan on buying a NEA adapter but have no idea what choices I have for stocks other than magpul. (I am not a black rifle guy) I like the look of the UBR stock with the CTR cheek spacer but wonder if there is better out there before I shell out the cash? The PRS would be close to perfect but think it would look bad? Do I have other options?

3)I would like to attach a sling but not sure the best way to attach it or type? I would like a sling that the rifle could hang freely in front of me but also be shot without getting in the way. Pics of the a set up might help as seeing a loose sling in a photo in the online stores doesn't really help me picture how it works.

Thanks to anybody that helps.

Things I have learned about my xcr
-they really are fun to shoot (should have took the plunge long ago)
-more accurate than I expected this type of rifle to be
-its ALOT different than shooting a bolt gun

Thanks

Jason

There should be enough old style trigger sitting in people's parts box, you can probably get one by putting up a WTB thread in the EE.

When it comes to stock adapters there are 2 choices, depending on which stock you decide to go with. Go with a NEA one if decide to go with a rifle stock like a fixed A2 stock or Magpul's PRS and UBR, it has a indexing hole that will lock the stocks in place, if you decide to go with a carbine stock that uses a extension tube and castle nut go with Dlask one, it follows the curves of the XCR upper, but it doesn't have a indexing hole to lock.
if you decide to go with a carbine stock there are simply to many to list, just make sure to match the tube specs to the stock in other words commercial specs or mil spec, either is fine for what you going to use it for.

not true.. the dlask sling plate and stock adapter are a matched pair. the design relocates the anti rotation lug to the top of the sling plate and adapter in order to follow the factory design lines.

...The PRS would be close to perfect but think it would look bad? Do I have other options?

There's your first problem. If your considering a PRS, it should be because it functions best for what your using it for. If your drilling targets off a bench, try it out, but I would only use it on a dedicated distance rifle. They weigh alot, and take up a lot of length.

I recommend a CTR. Can't say enough great things about it. Light, no play with the friction lock, and about every sling mount you could imagine. Also look into the VLTOR Imod and Emod stocks if you really don't like the Magpul style stocks.

Hope that helps and glad you like your new toy

Magpul UBR with an earlier version of the NEA adaptor on my rifle, the new version sits higher up, I don't have a picture handy.
