Sphinx SDP

Nice pistol, its my only compact framed unit, but still very nice.

Only gripes is the lack of choice of accessories, magazines can take a bit of finding / holsters are CZ75 SP-01 units I believe (maybe wrong here so please check). I want tritium sights, but cannot locate them in Canada.

Quality of the pistol is very high, tight tolerances and great to shoot. I am waiting for the full size frame version and a lottery win. (circa $4,000 = taxes sometime before 2020.........)

Candocad.

They're absolutely beautiful. Fit and finish is true Swiss quality. When they first hit the Canadian market they were $1500-$1600 dollars so anything in the $1000 range is a steal.

I don't own one, but I've spent some time trying it and I found the double action pull was pretty terrible. Of the DA/SA guns I've used extensively or owned, CZ shadow > HK USP > Sig P226 > Beretta 92 > Sphinx SDP

That being said, trigger pull is always something that can be trained passed and overcome. Other than that I quite liked it as a compact shooter.

I've never tried a Sphinx but have shot many CZs. Weird that the Sphinx has such a bad trigger seeing as it's a CZ derivative. Almost all CZ based guns like the Tanfoglio, Jericho etc. have good to acceptable pulls. Odd the Swiss didn't get that part right.
FA, other than never shooting the Sphinx, I concur with your assessment of trigger pulls on your list above.

That's kinda what I'm looking for. Somewhat compact 9mm. Had a czp07 and kinda miss it. This is similar and supposed to be better quality

Unless they make a Canadian-specific model, we Canadians will probably have to wait for the P10 F, which is reportedly going to have a 114mm long barrel. The P10 C's barrel is 102mm.
