Well I want to spiff up my 870; make it look more evil. I currently have a Remington 870 Wingmaster, 52" overall. Any recommendations on how to do this relatively inexpensively?

Surefire Forend, Speedfeed Stock, Wilson tube extensions.... and a bucket of 3 inch slugs...

From TacticalShotgun.ca

14 inch barrel, a KAC 870 RAS rail system, a surefire illuminated forend, a Magpul AR15 stock, and an Argonaut Armament AR15-870 CQB stock adapter. Now that is one bad ass shotgun

that tac shottie looks like junk..whats with the Troy sights and the Aimpoint? I would junk it all for a Mepro Reflex site or maybe some nice Tritium Ghost Rings...On mine ive got a red dot fibre optic..good for a start..but its time for something better...

I dont really see why you would need electronic optics and pop up sites and a heat shield on this sort of firearm...makes it look like a christmas tree.

Those sound like expensive options. On the other end of the spectrum, get a set of used 870 Police wood furniture, bead and park the receiver and bbl, chop bbl to 20", get a Choate 8 rd extension tube and uncle mike's bracket.

Assemble and done.

I went with the KISS approach.
Hogue OM stock set, side saddle and +1 extension.
All I need is a receiver mount sling plate and a sling.
Maybe a pic rail and dot sight in the future.

Nice..setup..I gotta post a pic of mine, maybe take a pic this weekend. I think the next item will be a Mepro Ligth Reflex site.

Heres the route i went. Very simple looks
20inch deer barrel- $175
TacStar+3 $50
Kickeez pad $50
The wood is just beautiful so i left it and got a new pad. ITs walnut
and has a shimmering effect to it.

I vote for this one :D

My Norinco looks like the one at the top of the page2, only with a large bead and a Knoxx Compstock.

The new Wingmaster 20 inch will get a Tac-Ord custom mag tube, side saddle, and Knoxx Compstock. If i succeed in wearing the finish, I'll get it parkerized.

Is it better to go with the threaded barrel or stay with the smooth bore when making the transition from reg. shotgun to a more tactical look. Also should one start with the shorter barrel and magazine extension? Like the look but new to the tactical approach.
