There stuff appears to be top quality to me, much better as far as fit and finish compared to NEA.
LOL.
Spikes outsources its lowers and uppers to Aero Precision and ordered them branded with their company info. They are good items, but you can get the SAME parts from AP for cheaper with a different logo on them. Just saying'...
As for fit and finish, NEA and Spike's both use a Type III hard coat anodize, spikes are black as night and NEA is Colt Grey.
As for fit, the NEA parts are as nicely fit as any Spikes that I have had. And yes, I have fondled both to my heart's content

I actually own two AP and one Spikes AR...
NEA upper & lower are machined billet, Spikes stuff ha a more rounded appearance because it is forged and only the critical surfaces are machined. Forgings look similar to castings but are tougher, stronger and more durable in general than a casting due to the nature of the fogging process. In that sense, it's like comparing apples and oranges.
If you want an NEA, buy and NEA. If you want a Spikes, buy a Spikes. You will not be disappointed in either, but definitely get what you want the first time or you will lose money on selling it to buy what you should have got in the first place
