Third trip out in the last two days finally paid off. Got this lil guy tonight about a half hour before sun down. I used a rattle bag and a ??burp call and seemed to work good. Me and the missus didn't get set up where I had planned but figured it was good enough where we were.
The funny thing was how slow he came in...probably an hour from the time we first heard him til he walked into the wrong place.
Very close shot....20 meters if that, so I popped him in the head.
I was sort of worried about getting skunked this year due to the abnormally warm weather and lack of mobile deer but it all worked out. Now to try to call in one for the missus tomorrow.(fingers crossed)
Disclaimer: Camera is a piece of s**t, with the wrong time stamp. And while Saskatchewan is surely not the warmest place on earth, we don't have any snow at all in August.
