Hi I am looking for some recommendations on a good quality accurate wood stocked sporter for off arm shooting. Must be drilled and tapped for a scope. What do you guys recommend.

Bolt, semi or lever?

I'm going to wager a guess the majority will say a Marlin. For 'off hand shooting' they are cheap to purchase and have a following for good 'out-of-the-box' accuracy! I personally don't own a Marlin, I'd love an older model 60 in stainless!

I have Savage and CZ bolts and they are both very accurate (off the bench).

There's a Norinco JW 15 for sale on the EE right now for $200..(Brno Knockoff) I have BOTH and while the JW15 isn't as finely finished it SHOOTS just as well....spend the money you save on a good scope

I have the JW 15 22lr in both the 13'' and 24''barrel ,and the JW23(22 magnum version),they all shoot very well.
