I have a bubba'd Ross that I got for very little. With the Cooey .22 style crap sights bubba had installed on it, I shot about 4" - 5" groups with it.
I JB welded a one piece rail rail to the reciever (instead of D.T, so I could pull if off later if I wanted), and put a cheapo bushnell scope on it and shot a handful of 1.5" groups with it using the same ammo.
The rifle is now a perfectly functional truck gun.
