Sporting/Clay shooting Manitoba?

is there any place in Manitoba (near winnipeg) to go to do some clayshooting besides Winnipeg Trap/Skeet Club, and the occasional sporting clays at St. Hubertus?

I am addicted to sporting clays, and pretty much any clay shooting event - but it seems there are VERY LIMITED options. Any suggestions? -

for me, sporting clays is mainly what I'm looking for - I'm not THAT interested in predictable shots - you know?

... bored, with a huge pile of ammo, and a shotgun that feels like getting exercise!
 
The short answer is no.
WTSC offers Trap, Skeet, International Trap, International Skeet, casually and tournaments. Also they put on a sporting clay shoot usually twice a year.
St. Hubertus has become unpredictable as to when of if they may still be putting on shoots,
Marringhurst has quit as of this year( a crying shame).
Ducks Unlimited has a sporting shoot on Sunday Aug 30th at Woodlands. 100 targets for $85.00 w/ lunch ( most expensive shoot anywhere near here).

Other than that, Please buy some land near the city with trees, purchase some automatic throwers and built a course. I'll come and shoot ! so will a lot others.

Tuesday, thursday and sunday at the Brandon Gun Club you can shoot five stand. I would like to say the targets are soft, but I couldn't get them all.
I was there while on Holidays. They will let non members shoot member rates 2 times without buying a membership. Memberships are cheap enough though and will get you on the mailing list. Some very good guys there. The sporting was growing, and now has shrunk down again. Need some more blood.

Short of that, move to Calgary.

We would welcome you to the Winchestor Shooting Complex in Brandon, there are already groups of guys that are driving out from Winnipeg and renting our facilities for the day and putting a few hundred rounds each through the 5 stand, and trap courses.

We also have two skeet houses that may be finished today in time for our fall wind-up shoot, which is also today. If you want to PM me, I will give you the managers phone number and you can set up a shooting day and bring out a carload of buddies for the day.

We are open to the general public on Tuesday and Thursday nights starting at 6:30 until dark and also Sunday mornings at 11:00. Two guest visits, then a $20.00 yearly membership is required.

We are a good sized complex, we have hosted the Canadian Trapshooting Championships here a couple of times already, we also have a trailer park with electrical hook-ups, a licenced clubhouse with full kitchen and washroom and shower facilities. See you next year as I think it closes after today. :welcome:

PEMBINA TRIANGLE GUN CLUB is a good place to go. It is in between Carman and Winkler. It is a 5 stand with singles and double. Open Thur and every other Sunday.
