There's no better excuse for getting two new guns!
 
As for your LOP I think you will find a slightly shorter LOP for skeet and sporting will improve your chances on wide angle shots because of a lesser probability of your face coming away from the stock. Watch a right handed shooter take a high house station 6 or 7 target a bit late: most misses are caused by lifting the head or cheek coming off the stock which is most often due to a too-long stock and/or poor foot position. Just a thought...

Thanks. With adjustable LOP, I'll be able to try that. A factory length stock is just too short, with my nose at my thumb. Shooting the Beretta semi-auto was painful because my thumb kept smashing my nose. Others are marginally better.
 
Thanks for the help, all. I've got an almost new, Browning CXS 30" with adjustable comb, on it's way from a fellow Gun Nutz shooter. Now the waiting for Canada Post.
 
Considering price and features and what I want in a Sporter, the CXS is the best gun currently available in the market. An even better deal if you can save a few bucks and find one used.

Let us know how you make out after you have shot it a bit.
 
Couldn't have asked for a better used CXS. Can't tell it from new, so am very happy to have saved some money. I got the Graco adjustable LOP plate installed with a Packmayr pad. The pad is a little bigger than the original, but will try it for a while. I can always go smaller.

No excuses now.

I agree completely. These are very good guns for the money. I had the opportunity to shoot one, and it was a target smasher. Fit and finish is very good, and the longevity of the gun is good. Made by the Japanese. If I was looking for a clay gun, I would buy one.
