Are you interested in getting into Trap or Skeet shooting? If you're shooting on a budget, but want to be set on the right path with a good trap or sporting shotgun you should have a look at the Stevens 555 manufactured by Kofs. They're reliable, light weight, and won't break the bank.
Stevens 555 Sporting
The 555 Sporting is a double barrel over/under with a ventilated mid rib. The rib is a 60/40 profile with mid bead and fiber optic front bead. This shotgun would be perfect for skeet, sporting clays, five stand, or trap doubles. It is the more well rounded contender to use in multiple different shooting disciplines. Included are 5 extended chokes, a choke tube case, and the choke wrench. The shotgun is also light enough that it would be suitable for upland game bird hunting.

Stevens 555 Trap
The 555 Trap is a single barrel over/single trap gun designed for American Trap. Its rib profile is 60/40 where 60% of your shot will be above your point of aim. This is suitable for the rising targets in American Trap. Due to the nature of its single barrel, the gun would only be suitable for American Trap singles. Most shooting clubs only offer the discipline of American Trap, and this is the most common discipline new shooters to get into. The cost of starting with American Trap is a lot more affordable. The 555 Trap also has a mid bead like the 555 Sporting.

Similarities between the Trap & Sporting
Both the Trap and Sporting guns have an aluminum alloy receiver with a steel breech face. The steel breech face will ensure longevity while keeping the weight down for younger or smaller shooters who may not be comfortable with the extra weight of a steel receiver shotgun. The lighter weight also makes them both more suitable for upland game bird hunting. The barrels are steel and pivot on steel hinge pins to ensure a longer service life. Both the Trap and Sporting have an adjustable comb so the shotguns can be fitted to just about any shooter. Both also have a sporting/beavertail forend that gives a better feeling that just feels natural.
