I am interested in a lifelong investment and near the best out there. So I have a few questions. I am really looking hard at the Swarovski 65 STS HD in straight body. What do most hunters prefer, a straight body or angled? Also, what is a good light tripod with great adjustments? Lastly and most important, where in Canada can I get the best deal on this type of unit? Thanks guys and gals...:D

The eye piece you choose depends mostly on the type of use it will see, as well as personal preference. All of the ones I have used were straight but there are times when an angled may have been nice. In alot of hunting situations it is nice to have a straight eye piece to keep you lower to the ground for concealmant.

Hands down your best deal will be Gr8fuldoug at Camera land. He will have it to you in under two weeks. YOu will find him in the dealer forum.

Once you get the Optic, I would suggest going to a local photography store to check the tripod selection and what works best for you application.
Again, keeping in mind the hieghts you will need to use it (off the shooting bench or on the ground in the field etc).
I have a tall one that is very light, it just takes a bit of looking around to see what you like.

Kudos to you for not messing with the crap optics and getting a quality piece of glass. That is one nice scope!
