I have a terrible miniature tripod for my Vortex Diamonback 20-60X60, and even with the slightest wind it seems to vibrate and become hard to see through.

Last weekend the person shooting on the bench next to me had this small but heavy duty stand for his spotting scope that looked super solid. Any idea where i could find something like this? OR something else that's for a bench and solid?

It sort of looked like this but only about 8" tall

You are looking for a spotting scope stand. The one above is a polecat. You could also look at Freeland stands or a scope stand from First Strike. The rod for these stands come in different lengths and you can usually screw a couple together to get the length you want. I believe Champions Choice in the US also has their own brand of scope stands.

I bought a Leofoto LS-223C Carbon Fiber Mini Tripod for using my spotting scope on the bench at the shooting range. It is just about the perfect size. Got it from Amazon.ca for $123.00. It doesn't come with a ball head. I splurged and added a Sirui VH/VA-Series Fluid Video head. It is sooooooooooooo smooth, very good head for a spotting scope.

I bought this on Amazon, around $90. It's quite sturdy and no vibration when windy. The legs can spread out to be low for lower centre of gravity so negates any movement as much as possible. It's also built not flimsy and I actually have the same spoting scope as you.
