Spotting scope size?

I'm thinking of getting a spotting scope to check targets. (tired of walking ) I was wondering what power to get. Most of my shooting is 100 to 200 yards. Variable or fixed etc? thanks in advance.

I use a 20-60x80 Blawkhawk from Barska. It does the job rather well.

I use the celestron Ultima 80,works very nice.20x-60x If I remember right.

i have a celestron mini-mak 30-90 works wonders just need to get a decent tripod for it LOL

The Celestron products offer great value for the money. The 65mm will be ok at the range for 200 yard targets, 300 yards usually requires a 60 times magnifacation to see bullet holes at that range. The 80mm Celestron Ultima has this ability and so does the Mini Mak with its 30 - 90 zoom.FS
