Im looking at getting a new spotting scope for some sheep hunting I will be planning to do. Looking at a power of 20-60, how much of an improvment between the 60mm objective and the 80mm objective. Looked over the Bushnell Legend and Leupold Sequoia. But not set on any yet, and want some input as to which one (any brand) gives the best bang for the buck. Speaking of buck don't want to spend much more than 500 of them. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

an 80mm objective will have about 60x the light gathering power of a 60mm objective, so the 80mm will be significantly brighter which will greatly aid you in looking at something at higher magnification. :)

costco (in quebec) has the MEADE spotting scope.60 bucks gives you a 20-60 power with a locking hard case, soft case and adjustable tripod.a fair price i guess as i picked one up.it's made in CHINA but what do you expect nowadays...it's rubber armored and water resistant...

the 80 mm is way too heavy to pack imo..I tried the 80mm Swaro HD beauty..but need a packer just for it..settled on the 20x-60 x Swarovski hd in 65mm..all I will ever need...after 30 years of sheep hunting..
