Note: The word Palma refers to a course of fire. 2+15 at 800, 900 and 1000. Sunday is not a Palma.

Sunday is the Ultra Longs as we call them, which use to be 1000, 1100 and 1200 and was part of the Driller's Matches,
but we would have to clear out the clubhouse and campground is we fired from the 1200, so we shortened it this year.

- Match Rifle Shooting competitions (a form of TR) does fire beyond 1000 yds.

- Stickledown range in England goes from 800 to 1200 yds.

- The National Rifle Club of Scotland on the Jubilee Range fires from 1233 yds! www.nrcofs.org/MatchRifle.html

- The Clint and Patti Dahlstrom (TR Shooters) help financially to construct the 1100 and 1200 yd lines at the North Star range, Home of the SPRA and PPRA.

Well, we had another great weekend, doubling our attendance yet again from last years match, no rain, sunny Saturday with 6 moa wind changes and on Sunday, less wind velocity but with still 6 moa changes at the Ultra Long ranges (900 yds to 1100 yds). I have to go on a diet after these weekends, we eat like kings out there LOL. Bacon wrapped Pheasant, Steaks, Blacken'd Cesar salad, garden salads, elk sausages, fish, baked potatoes, you name it! Oh yes, can forget the Margarita's, beer and hards after the days matches. Always a hoot out there and a great bunch of guys :)
