Looks solid, how did you make your pattern or is it all free hand

Might as well paint the whole thing... Remingtons rust very easily and the metal would benefit from a paint job more so than the plastic.

I used a triangular cut out template for the mid layer, then used sponge method for the little white and green paint I had left

It's hard to keep an 870 express oiled against rust once the metal has been painted imho.

I've been using Painters Touch from Rustoleum on plastics and other than the long cure time it's been a really durable finish
