spring bear bc

anyone know of any good spots to go for bear in may? that are in british columbia?

BC is a big place... can you be a bit more specific?

Generally anywhere with water, lots of green grass and sun is a good spot for blackies early season. Late April - mid May is best for most areas in south BC.

Later in the season bears are best found around food sources. Look for skunk cabbage, cow parsnip, spring berries or other types of food. Get a pair of binos and a comfy seat and spend a lot of time spotting for good bears, since there are lots of large males to be had.

was thinking somewhere not to far off chilliwak by not to far i mean within 4 hours away

Lots of bears around Chilliwack, Hope, Boston Bar. Find a newish cut-block that is South facing and has new grass growing on it (late April - May). Find the food, find the bears.

Any road off of the Coquihalla Hwy or Fraser Canyon will produce lots of bears just get out early and glass the cuts...

yah was thinking of boston bar, just never done a bear hunt only just ran into them so yah was just looking for some good pointers
