spring bear hunting in Sask...tell me about it

I've been kicking around the idea of going for bear this year in Sask. I've only been hunting deer for a couple years, so I'm totally clueless when it comes to bear hunting. Any pointers on good zones (P.A, Carrot River, Smeaton area etc) and hunting technique would be appreciated. I've only hunted on foot, no stands or anything so would feet and a heartbeat work? Push bush?

bait is the best, but green grass is a good second choice. walking clear cuts old logging road when the green up would work too.

I would think that the country around Nipiwin is good bear country, we've seen quite a few on our way to Manitoba. FS
