Spring Bear Hunting - North Bay area

Hi,

I plan on heading up to the North Bay are to do some spring bear hunting this weekend. Can anyone recommend any areas I should focus on. I will be hunting with friends who run dogs.

I think it is only open North of North Bay.
Actually above Alqounquin Park borders, this is still somewhat guess but pretty sure area 49 south of North Bay toward Ottawa is not open for spring season.

I didn't end up going but if I would have I would have certainly hunted in one of the WMU where the season is open.
