Spring in HK magwell

I have a USP 45 that the mag wont drop free when its cocked. I can feel somthing in the mainspring pushing it into the mag when the hammer is cocked. when the hammer is down the mag drops free no problem. not sure if i'm explaining it clearly or not.

I just checked my buddies USP 40 it does not suffer the same problem Acording to my manual the part causing the issue is called the hammer strut.

The problem is simple . The hammer strut is twisted went you #### the pistol hammer with the HK Lock-out device on locked position .

Sorry but you need to change the hammer strut.
