Last year I hardly looked at my 10/22 and right now I can hardly wait to get out and set up a 50 and 100 yard target to see what I can do. The days are getting longer and I'm staring to get the itch. I'll have to make some bags or something so I can use my quad for a bench, take along a portable target stand and a fold down chair and I should be set.:D It may not be the best shooting platform to wring out the best that the gun can do, but I'm looking forward to it.
 
Have you seen the weather forecasts? It sure doesn't feel like spring is getting any closer.

adriel...thanks for taking the wind out of my sails. We generally get Edmonton's weather a day or two later.
 
It's even cold as balls here in Vancouver. They're sayin it's gonna snow all week.


I personally can't wait for spring so I can get my bike on the road :D

For the weather that is, the hunting regs here are stupid... I mean... we can only use firearms with a caliber of less than .230 for varmints?!?!? WTF?!?

Brrrr....

At -40C I think I'll stay at home ;) About -5C here right now - high of +1C today. I suppose thats a plus of living on the coast where i can shoot outdoors allyear long without getting too cold. But I would rather live in the cooler weather myself.

KDX - have fun with your 10/22 - I am hoping to get mine out for some range time soon in the next month or so - haven't shot it in about 4 or 5 months now. Its getting real lonely sitting there on its lonesome :rolleyes::redface:
 
Almost 9:00am, current temp -20, it was -18 when I got up at 6am. Snow later in the week.

I lived at CFB Cold Lake back in the 70's, had my fill of the 40 below thing: tires frozen flat on the bottom, spit freezing before it hit the ground, etc etc.
Roll on Spring!
 
I was just out plowing snow with the quad. Spring is no where near this place yet. Piss on the shooting for a couple more months.
