I have a parkerized Springfield 1911A1 loaded, with the novak night sights, ambidextrous thumb safty and hoag grips. I love it. Have never fired a Norc. but i like my Springfield better than any range gun i have fired. Granted that the range guns have been fired a million times. Any other springfield owners out there?

i just bought an stainless GI which i will put money in. i like the classic look of the GI more than any other expensive guns . i had like 1500 in budget but i went for the $ 800 GI and built on that. i know the quality isnt as good as the US made 1911. and my gun jammed probably due to bad ammo the first 150 rounds i shot with it . i'll try and make it a better shooter over time.

here's a nice custom built springer. i love all the subtle custom touches (which i will copy :D )

I own a 1911 Springfield Armory 45acp. U.S. Army issue made in 1914.
Don't have a clue how it shoots since it probably hasn't had a round through in over 75 years. A collectors gun worth more then 3 new SA 1911A1.

I had a Springfield Loaded model which I sent to SA Custom shop and had the Professional treatment done back in 2000...like an idiot I sold it. I still have nightmares at the butcher nickel job that was done to it by the next owner. This is my latest SA TRP with Dawson rail and X300. Magwell and ILS mainspring housing will be swapped for S&A flat 20LPI unit this week.

purchased my springfield from the EE its stainless and all polished up real shiny hasn't jammed yet works great gets alot of use. I am pleased with it.

I have two Springfields, a Brazilian SS Champion and a Trophy Match. The Champion has been stellar for tens of thousands of rounds and so has the Trophy Match with only a few hundred rounds thru it.

My friend had serious problems with his Trophy Match jamming that he attributed to my "faulty" reloads and he cursed me for the problems he had during IPSC.

When he fired it there were jams then I took it and fired it and no jams. He fires jams I fire no jam ...

His problem was limp hand syndrome not my reloads and it went away with time.

Springfield

I have an early blued version that feels like it was built from a custom gun builder, the slide to frame fit is superb. Very accurate and reliable as well. It's completely stock other than a S&A magwell and ambi safety. A real keeper

Don't own one, but have used them. Quality product, and Springfield has a good reputation. Not quite the quality of Colt when it comes to the finish on the basic guns, but they do function well right out of the box.

All these years owning/shooting 1911's & still haven't had a Springfield Armoury model.

Love the looks of the stainless GI model, though....
