Springfield Armory Garands

REAL M1's are "Springfield Armory" the modern clones are "Springfield Inc". Reputation is spotty at best, some work but many don't. Over priced in any case! Mostly made with cast receivers and worn parts kits. It's a roll of the dice IMHO.

Probably better off getting a genuine post war receiver, Districorp was the last business that had anything Garand related, don't know if they still have any, last time I checked their website, all they had was a few Garand parts. or thinking about an M-305, but from what I hear, you are in red for a GI stock, for one thing, maybe a genuine flash supresssor, Scope mount, (well, there's an improvement over the Garand ler scope option) maybe a GI bolt?

Yes, I'd stay away from them. Like the other guys have said, too much money, and a spotty rep. Also, there are still enough nice Springfield, Winchester, HRA, IHC, Breda and PB Garands in good shape, for much less money, and no worries...

Cheers
