Floatdriver, I would have to say M1A is the way to go... that is my opinion. My friend who is a marine convinced me to get the springfield. I also try to purchase North America where ever I can... (I know springfield outsources some parts to Brazil and Hungary)
Either way, I don't think that you cant go wrong, M14, M305, M1A etc is a fine gun.
