Springfield Armory

TreelineM14 will ship USGI flash hiders up here, but if you want one without the bayonet lug I don't think they stock them.

No export via Midway. The got caught several years ago doing so and it cost 'em a fortune in fines.
TreelineM14 doesn't export according to their site.
You're best to contact SA Inc.'s customer service.

Flash hiders are articles of war so my guess would be that they can't be exported. Muzzle brakes however are not classed as articles of war and are exportable.
This is why the springfield muzzle brake can be ordered but not the flash hider.
I could be wrong but the above is my understanding of current U.S. Export rules for firearm parts.

Isn't that the funniest or oddest situation eh? So if you love muzzle brakes, you are good to go! :)

Cheers,

Ya, but what is "odder" is that many rifles exported out of the US , from JRA, springfield and LRB ect , have intact flash hiders. Never quite got that one but I guess the flash hider by itself is somehow a very dangerous item indeed LOL

Sadly, nope. I phoned them recently and their "export" service answer me they don't.
Actually, I just got through to Springfield Armory's export person (Kelly, last week) and she said she would/could still send me a flash hider to Canada. I wonder what's going on?

Brownells or Midway can fill your order.
I got an email from Midway last week too stating that they will not ship internationally

Pitbull, thanks for the offer but gratefully another CGNer stepped-up already and sold me his.

I had no luck getting a muzzle brake from south of the border. seems to be on the banned list according to brownells.

I think a lot of it has to do with how it is marketed and the 'wording' of the descriptors of such product. If there is mention of flash 'suppression' or 'hider' anywhere in the product description, they ban export - regardless if the product actually has that effect or not.

Try the guys at Armtac in Vancouver. They specialize in AR's and M1A's, not specifically Springfields but couldn't hurt to ask. They could have a line on some parts.
