Not that it matters but I have five 1911's. Two of my Norincos have been extensively worked on by Dlask and Gunnar. The third is bone stock. The latter is as close to a GI mil=spec gun as you are going to get. Buy it from Marstar, out of the box it probably is GI quality. Yes you can spend a dime or two to have Gunnar do a trigger job on it but my Norinco I left basic is my Bush gun, never once has given me an oz. of trouble which is more than I can say about my STI Trojan and Para.
The Norinco A1 is what you are looking for IF all you want is a basic "GI" style gun. Far better choice than Springfield GI or the Colt GI repro. The NOrinco digests LSWC, and RN bullets like poop thru a goose and is as accurate as I can shoot given the mil spec sights sitting on it.
