Springfield M1903 barreled action; is it worth restoring?

Looking at all the comments, there comes a time when one has to just let it go and salvage the parts.

Oh by the way someone did a job on the cocking piece as well, probably to lighten it for for faster ignition, or possibly just for the hell of it.
