Springfield M1A OEM Stock on an M305?

Has anyone ever tried putting an M305 into a Springfield M1A stock? Specifically the one from Brownells "SPRINGFIELD M14 STOCK OEM WOOD BROWN". I regret selling my beautifully refinished chu wood stock from my 2007 M14S and now that I have a 2014 M305 I'd like to replace the synthetic stock on it. I'm not looking to go the Boyds or USGI route as that is another project I'd start and never get around to finishing, so I'm hoping that this would be a drop in fit or require very minimal work to make fit.

Will require some fitting, but it'll go.

the right hand side of the receiver bearing surfaces may have to be altered to get the receiver to sit level in the stock but otherwise it's pretty basic stock fitting to make it work.

It’s a Boyd’s walnut. With stock metal.

It’s much cheaper to buy a Boyd’s stock direct from Boyd’s, and instal the Chinese stock metal.

I did it. the metal on it is good quality, better than the norinco. easiest way to get everything you want at once.
The right side of the stock top has to be shaved a bit for the norinco receiver though.
