If you search for CGN user Different, you will find he has a homepage. There is (or was) a spreadsheet of compatable and incompatable parts between the USGI and the Norinco.
Specific to your question, the flash hider set screw is unique to China. If you need to replace it and can't find one on CGN, consider rethreading it to something Imperial.

Yes it will fit but you will indeed need the correct nut for your barrel. My buddy has a Springfield muzzle brake on his Norc and it works fine.
