AAAArrrrrgh!!!

OK, so I have a Springfield Armory P9. It is (supposed to be) a clone of the CZ75.
I just got a Fobus holster that I ordered (I know, but I'm on a budget, here...give me a break) for the P9. I ordered a CZ75 holster, but the friggin thing doesn't fit!!!! There was absolutely no way that I could jam the P9 into this holster.
It looks as though the P9 is a little wider at the top of the slide than a CZ. I have now drilled out the two rivets that hold the holster together at the front. There is now a gap of about 1/4 inch between the two 'walls' of the holster...I am considering putting some kind of spacing material in there and replacing the rivets...will that be OK for IPSC production? Am I better of throwing the f*cking thing out and buying a CR speed?
I'm trying to spend money on equipment in proportion with my abilities...the fact that I bought a fobus holster tells you something.

Any one know of a good source for actual P9 holsters? Anyone have a P9 holster? Anyone besides the guy who I sold my Safariland to...?:(

Since like me you are in Ottawa. You are in luck. Go see Joe at Laroche Leathers and have him make you a holster custom designed to fit the P9.

I just got one of his competition holsters. Mine is for a USP Custom Sport as I could only find one company that made a holster for it and they could take 5+ weeks to make the holster and then ship by ground.

Joe made the holster for me in just over a week and it cost me $85. He used pictures of the gun and a tracing to make it. The holster looks and works great and I cannot wait for my Black Badge course in early May.

Do a google search for Laroche Leathers and you will find him. he's cheaper than a CR Speed unit and custom fit to your gun.

Let me know and I can see about posting some pics of it tomorrow.
