I've been interested in the new Springfield sa–35 since I saw them released. Given the current situation, I'd like to add a high-power to my collection. Does anyone know if they ever made their way to Canada? They seem to be in the states, but Brownells is out of stock and GunBroker is generally over MSRP. Alternatively, if anyone's got a good suggestions for a different high-power, let me know. Also, if anyone has any experience with this pistol, how did you like it?

Based on reviews out on the web, the SA-35 has issues with extractor leading to jams, unless you replace with stock Browning extractor and spring. The reviews on the Girsan MC P35 seems to show they are much more reliable and they are in stock in Canada

Thanks gundoggy, I hadn't heard about the issues with the sa35. I'll check out the Girsans.

Anyone shot one of the Girsan P35s? If so how did you find them?

Last I looked the Girsan copy didn't necessarily accept all BHP parts. Some worked with some fitting, not sure about others or which specific parts have issues.

Yup... I missed it by minutes. Very frustrating not being to buy the stuff I want!

yeah..i missed out on a lot of stuff until i signed up for an email notification and then i scored

about the SA-35...i didnt even know they were available in Canada already..i was pretty excited when they were released at SHOT show but now that i saw the price of only $899, i wonder where they are actually made? I assumed they would be priced at the same level as Springfield's 1911s

I got a notification... For 1911s which I already have enough of. I should have searched for additional stock because it was my wife who actually gave me the heads up, too late of course. The gun is supposedly made by Springfield in Georgia. For $899 I was more than willing to check it out myself.
