Hey Cal,

Almost everyone of the Dealers in canada are out of stock with the springfeild 1911's.
My dealer was told by the distributor for canada that they are on a super huge back order and there is no ETA when they will be coming in.
 
I bought my TRP from GunBroker and had it imported by Prophet River.
Took 6 months or so but was VERY satisfied with the gun and the service of PR.

I spoke with the Springfield Distributor 2 weeks ago, they have had $2 million worth of back orders for the last 2 years and it is not going to get any better. You are best to look at an importer.
 
Just cancelled an order I'd had in since early october 2011 with SA. I called Springfield and the nice lady there told me that they are very behind, and that they'd already filled the production quota on my particuar model 1911. (Loaded Combat .45ACP) At that point I switched over to a Kimber (Eclipse Custom II) that I should have in the next few days. I really liked the Springer, but I'm not waiting a year or more.
