Springs for Rifles

For best performance you will have to use the appropriate spring guide.

American springs = American spring guide. American springs have larger ID

I run the David Tubbs Chrome silicon springs.

Chinese springs are just fine for every day shooting, if your trying to do precision shooting out to 1000yds you may want to upgrade your spring and spring guide.

Im running an M14.ca blackarrow spring guide, does anyone know if they're made to American or Chinese rifle specs? I've also been thinking about upgrading the op-rod spring but if I need another guide it would move that bit down my list a little bit.

The m14.ca site says that the blackarrow works with both US and Norc springs, so you should be good to go with whatever you find.

My mistake...the Chinese springs have a smaller ID so any spring guide made for them will also fit in the American springs although it will be a little bit of a loose fit.

The Chinese springs are generally good though, no reason to replace them if you've got a blackarrow until they start to wear out.

All good advice. Saved me a pile of typing.

Replace the chinese op rod spring ONLY if you feel imminent #### loss coming on!! ha ha ha ha ha

No seriously, I do have a bunch of Wolffe springs here but I only sell them to you for the right reason....to fit the US made guides (Badger, Sadlak, Smith, Brookfield Precision, etc)

Cheers,
